jydAfter yet another dominating year of performance, Jr Ward, driving Jim Oddy’s 1934 Willys Sedan “Junkyard Dog” took home the 2016 Nostalgia AA/Gassers Championship Presented By Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels in fine fashion! This marks an unprecedented fourth Championship in four seasons for the team.

Rounding out the rest of the 2016 Championship Points Standings were Al Niespodzinski Jr. driving his father’s 1933 Willys Coupe “Caged Heat” finishing second, Michael Campolucci driving Larry Morton’s 1933 Willys Coupe “Code Blue” finishing third, Derek Childress in his 1933 Willys Coupe “Classical Gas” finishing fourth, Jeff Cryan in his and Jerry “Gassers” 1933 Willys Pickup “Ron Bizio” finishing fifth , Tom Fritz in his 1941 Willys Pickup “Goin’ Broke” finishing sixth, John Foust in his 1941 Willys Coupe “Lazarus” finishing seventh, Tim Irwin in his 1948 Anglia “Crazy Man’s Toy” finishing eighth, Mike Kalinowski in his 1948 Austin “Unfinished Business” finishing ninth and Al Borowski in his 1951 Anglia “ScottRods” rounding out the top ten.
